Forte fires in 29 but Cycs lose to KVA
HENDERSON — The Community Christian varsity boys basketball team dropped its 1-A/2-A Coastal Independents Conference opener 64-62 Friday night at Kerr-Vance Academy.
The Cyclones, now 1-4 overall with their fourth straight loss, got 29 points from senior guard Jimmy Forte while Andrew Gattis added 14 points and Mike Piccolo had 13 points. No further details were available.
The Spartans improved to 2-2 overall and 2-1 in CIC play.
CCS is off until Tuesday, Dec. 3, when it hosts St. Thomas More of Raleigh at the Peace Church gym.
