1A BB--Statesville Christian Routs Ridgecroft in Pair

Statesville Christian make their four trek east a rousing success as they drubbed Ridgecroft in a doubleheader Saturday on the Ram’s home field. The Lions won the first contest 10-0 and then routed the Rams in the nightcap rolling to a 17-1 win in a contest shortened to five innings due to the mercy rule. Sophomore Tyler Laws and freshman Charlie Jacobs held the Ridge croft bats at bay limiting them to just seven hits in the two games.



Laws went the distance in the opener, allowing just four hits, walking none and striking out 15 while Jacobs was equally as effective giving up three hits, walking three and fanning ten.



Statesville Christian, which has no seniors on its roster improved to 15-6 on the season while Ridgecroft falls to 3-9.
