Halifax Academy advances in State play-offs

Halifax Academy Lady Vikings hosted first round Tuesday night in the North Carolina Independent Schools Athletic Association 1A Girls 2015-16 State Championship play-offs.
The #7 seed Halifax Lady Vikings beat #10 Cape Fear Christian Academy 14-13 by a score of 71-44 to advance to the second round Thursday.
Halifax leading scorers were: Kelly Williams with 27 points, Kim Shearin with 17 points, Candice Smith with 11 points, Drew Rose with 8 points, Brooke Robertson with 4 points, Kate Starnes with 2 points and Maddie Suiter with 2 points.
#7 seed Halifax 19-2 will face #2 seed Trinity Christian School 21-5 Thursday February 18th at 1PM at Cary Academy
