Thales Academy Rolesville routs (Freedom Christian 7-1 in 2A playoffs

ROLESVILLE, NC — The Thales Academy of Rolesville Knights defeated the Freedom Christian Patriots 7-1 on Thursday night to advance to the state semifinals of the NCISAA 2A soccer playoffs.
The Knights dominated the game throughout, as they took a 4-0 lead into the halftime break.
It started with a tally from freshman Colin Giffel. Then, senior Kolt Schuey rattled off three consecutive goals to give himself a hat trick and put the game out of reach within the first 40 minutes.
Cole Tucker scored a pair of goals for the Knights in the second half to add on to their lead.
Senior Reynaldo Molina scored for the Patriots for their only goal of the game.
Freedom Christian's season comes to an end with a record of 8-3.
Thales of Rolesville will square off with top-seeded Fayetteville Academy in the state semifinal.
