GREENSBORO DAY SCHOOL 61, PROVIDENCE DAY SCHOOL 44:

Second-seeded Greensboro Day advanced to the NCISAA 3-A boys basketball state championship
with a 61-44 victory over third-seeded Charlotte Providence Day at Christ School in Arden on Friday.

The Bengals (33-2) will meet Wesleyan Academy in the title game. Tipoff is 4 p.m. at Asheville School.

Peter Agba and Trevor Mayo paced GDS with 14 and 12 points, respectively.

GDS and Wesleyan met twice during the season, splitting the games.
