WESLEYAN BOYS 79, CHRIST SCHOOL 71

ARDEN - Top-seeded Wesleyan Christian Academy's boys cruised past fifth-seeded and host Christ School for a 79-71 win in the NCISAA 3A boys semifinals on Friday.

Brandon Childress scored 29 points and dished six assists to lead the Trojans (28-4), who led 38-27 at halftime against the Greenies and extended the cushion to 56-39 after three quarters. Jalen Johnson also had 20 points, while Harry Giles followed with 16 points and eight rebounds.

Wesleyan plays in Saturday's 4 p.m. title game at the Asheville School against second-seeded Greensboro Day.
