The win for the Eagles sets up a showdown with Asheville Christian for the private-school state championship on Saturday at 2 p.m. at Charlotte Latin School.

cfa Academy was paced by guard Kaylan Daniels, who poured in 19 points, and junior guard Jael Hall had 10 points.

The normally high-scoring Eagles were a little slower than normal out of the gate, as they put up just five points in the opening quarter and trailed by a point. But cfa Academy began to warm up in the second quarter, while still holding Fayetteville Christian to single digits, and went on to win its 10th consecutive game.
