Wesleyan takes second straight NCISAA title



Malik Ibrahim netted the game’s only goal to give Wesleyan Christian a 1-0 victory over Charlotte Country Day in the championship game of the N.C. Independent Schools Athletic Association 3-A boys soccer tournament.


Goalie Michael Buckland had fi ve saves for Wesleyan which finished 21-0 in claiming its second consecutive

state title.

Shots: Wesleyan 16; Charlotte Country Day 7.

Saves: Wesleyan 6 (Michael Buckland); Charlotte Country Day 5 (Jack Vaughn).
