CHARLOTTE – Second-seeded Charlotte Country Day School downed seventh-seeded Wesleyan Christian Academy 25-14, 25-15, 25-27, 25-18 in the NCISAA 4A quarterfinals on Friday.
CCDS upped its record to 18-2. The Trojans finished 13-10.
Morgan Downs led Wesleyan with 11 kills and two aces. Megan Martin notched 11 digs for the Trojans, while Emma Gonzalez led with 16 serve receive passes and Audrey Kubis had five blocks.
