Brantley's late goal gives ACA state title
Junior Brantley Compton buried an overtime penalty kick with five minutes left in the game as Asheville Christian Academy defeated Christ the King 1-0 to claim the 2A NCISAA state title Saturday at Campbell University.
The win completed a dramatic postseason run for the No. 7 ranked Lions, who earned three wins over teams ranked higher than them.
