Four-star Asheville Christian Academy senior forward De'Ante Green committed to Florida State over the weekend, choosing the Seminoles over a final list of schools that also included N.C. State, Wake Forest and Tennessee.

The consensus No. 2 senior in North Carolina, Green began his high school career at Christ School before arriving at ACA last December. He helped lead the Lions to a state championship a couple of months later, and could be the second ACA product in Tallahassee; former Lions star Caleb Mills transferred from Houston to Florida State midway through last season.

A 6-foot-9 power forward, Green's recruitment exploded over the summer of 2020 and continued throughout the year, with UNC offering in December. He can score at all three levels, operate out of the post or spot-up, a prototypical stretch-four.

Florida State has enjoyed a return to prominence in recent years under legendary head coach Leonard Hamilton, reaching the Sweet 16 each of the past three NCAA tournaments, including an Elite Eight run in 2018.

The Seminoles' 2020 recruiting class was one of their best ever, ranked top-10 in the country with three top-100 freshmen. Green joins a thinner 2021 class alongside four-star center Cameron Corhen.
