Providence Day point guard Devon Dotson, the reigning Charlotte Observer player of the year in Mecklenburg County, will be on national TV Tuesday night.

Dotson is one of several Carolinas players scheduled to participate in the first Under Armour Select high school basketball showcase in San Francisco. Dotson, a 6-foot-1 senior, recently took an official visit to Arizona, and has been participating in the fourth annual Stephen Curry select camp this week.

Dotson averaged 24.4 points, 6.8 rebounds and 5.1 assists while playing against the toughest schedule of any N.C. high school team, public or private, according to MaxPreps, a national site that tracks high school athletics.

Dotson has received more than 20 scholarship offers and is considered the No. 1 recruit in North Carolina for the class of 2018. He helped Providence Day beat three national top 25 teams, including DeMatha (Md.) and Sunrise (Kan.), on back-to-back nights in December to become the first team to win the Hoodies House holiday tournament national field championship in back-to-back years.

The all-star game will be on ESPNU at 9 p.m. eastern.

▪ Other Carolinas players in the game are Fayetteville Trinity Christian’s Joey Baker, a 6-foot-7 junior; and Wesleyan Christian’s Aaron Wiggins, a 6-foot-6 senior forward committed to Maryland.
