All-Region first team guard to transfer to Greensboro Day School
Brock Williams announced his intent to transfer from Burlington Christian Academy to Greensboro Day School.
Williams, a rising junior, was a 2018-19 Times-News All-Region first team guard for the boys’ basketball team at BCA. He received a scholarship offer from Elon following the season.
He averaged 34.7 points and 6.7 assists as a sophomore, leading the Royals to the quarterfinals of the North Carolina Independent Schools Athletic Association’s Class 2-A state tournament, where the team fell to eventual state champion Fayetteville Academy.
At Greensboro Day, Williams joins a backcourt that includes Carson McCorkle, a rising senior committed to Virginia, and rising sophomore Cam Hayes, who has scholarship offers from several Atlantic Coast Conference programs including in-state schools North Carolina State and Wake Forest.
Williams becomes becomes another departure for the Royals this offseason. Coach Ryan Bernardi left BCA to accept the same position at The Burlington School last month.
