Congratulations to senior, Chaston Raye, who found out this afternoon that he has been selected as a Presidential Scholar at Queens University. In addition, he has been offered a spot on the Royals basketball team.
The Presidential Scholarship is the highest academic scholarship offered by Queens University and covers full tuition for all four years of college. Chaz was selected from over 200 applicants for this prestigious award, and was personally called this afternoon by the President of the University to offer Chaz this scholarship.
Chaz is the first student from Providence Day to ever be offered this award, and also the first basketball recruit for Queens to be offered this award.
