Burlington School Boys, Trinity Christian Girls Winners in Big 1A Matchup

The Burlington School boys roll

LEWISVILLE — The Burlington School shut down Fayetteville Trinity Christian in a 50-27 boys' basketball victory at the Forsyth Country Day Invitational on Monday.

T.J. Jeffers led the Spartans (12-0) with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Trey Cousin supplied 15 points and five rebounds, while Jordan Nelson had nine rebounds.

It was a rematch from last season’s North Carolina Independent Schools Athletic Association's Class 1-A semifinal. Trinity Christian won that matchup and went on to the win the state championship.

Trinity Christian dropped to 9-2.

The Burlington School plays West Stokes in today’s continued action of the event, with games pre-determined.
