TBS girls reach 16-0 with romp
Aniyah Vanhook scored 20 points as The Burlington School ran its record to 16-0 in girls’ basketball by defeating visiting Kerr-Vance Academy 70-23 in Tuesday night’s non-league game.
Vanhook, a junior guard who was honored before the game for scoring her 2,000th career point Jan. 4 against Grace Christian, also provided seven assists and five steals.
The Burlington School also received 14 points and seven rebounds from Taniyah Hunter Smith and 11 points and five steals from Molina Williams. Dionne Sampson scored 10 points.
Kerr-Vance Academy dropped to 7-6.
