Robinson to coach Carolina Day boys basketball
Roberson alum David Robinson is the new boys basketball coach at Carolina Day.

David Robinson has been tapped as the new Wildcat varsity boys basketball coach for the 2017-2018 season. Coach Robinson replaces Carolina Day School alumnus, Trip Cogburn.
Coach Cogburn announced his retirement last season and has assumed a leadership role within Carolina Day’s growing Upper School. Robinson, a graduate of Montreat College and T.C. Roberson High School, and a native of Asheville, coaching resume includes stops at Greensboro Page H.S., T.W. Andrews H.S., the Greensboro Gators AAU program, and locally with the WNC Warriors and Team Carolina.
“We are excited to have David lead our basketball team as we begin the next phase of this team’s rich and successful tradition”, said Steve Henry, Director of Athletics at Carolina Day.
“I am extremely grateful to Carolina Day for the opportunity to lead their boys basketball
program. I look forward to building relationships within the Carolina Day community and working with each and every player.”
Robinson inherits a team which advanced to the quarterfinals of the 2016-17 NCISAA 2A Basketball Championships.
