Anna Moore is new volleyball coach at Charlotte Country Day, which announces several new hires

Anna Moore is the new volleyball coach at Charlotte Country Day.

Moore was a two-year grad assistant at Lenoir Rhyne while she earned a master’s in public health. Prior to Lenoir-Rhyne, she was a volunteer assistant at UNC-Asheville, where she played for three seasons and was team captain and was a three-time all Big South selection. She teaches PE in Country Day’s middle school.

Charlotte Country Day has also hired a few more varsity coaches:

▪ Antonia Keen, a 2013 graduate, is a cheerleading assistant varsity coach after recently completing a competitive cheerleading career and earning a degree in early childhood education from William Penn. Her mother, Melanie Rubin, is the Bucs head cheerleading coach.

▪ Chris Shembo, a 2010 graduate, is a football assistant coach. Shembo played at Division III Hampden-Sydney. Derek Passenant has also been hired as a football assistant.

▪ Logan Miller, a former Mount Tabor High star, is a varsity assistant. Kevin Sims, a former player at the University of Virginia, will coach junior varsity.
