Cherokee dominates second half over Asheville School
After going into the locker room up just six points at home to Asheville School, Cherokee came out in the second half and dominated.

Led by junior quarterback Bobby Crowe — who completed 14-of-18 passes for 287 yards and two touchdowns — the Braves outscored the Blues 28-8 in the second half to take a 52-26 win on Friday night.

Senior running back Isaiah Evans got things started in the third quarter for Cherokee, scoring from 29 yards out. Cade Mintz tacked on another touchdown with a 49-yard interception return.

Terence Ledford scored two rushing touchdowns in the fourth quarter before Asheville School running back Uchenna Ikwuakor scored a meaningless touchdown late in the game.

Cherokee moved to 2-1 on the season while Asheville School (2-1) took its first loss.
