Scott Willard steps down as Christ School's basketball coach
Scott Willard has stepped down as head basketball coach at Christ School, according to the school's headmaster Paul Krieger.
In an email to staff this week, Krieger said Willard will continue to be the school's athletic director but "due to a family member's health issues" will no longer be the basketball coach.
Jeff Depelteau has been elevated to head coach and Tiger Norman has been promoted to associate head coach.
It's the second resignation this week for WNC coaches, after longtime Brevard coach David Siniard resigned due to family reasons.
