Coaching / Athletic Administrator Clinic at Charlotte Latin School - Sat., Sept 19

Coaches of all levels/sports and administrators are invited to attend a clinic hosted at Charlotte Latin on Saturday, Sept. 19 (9am-4pm; $100 registration fee, includes lunch) in Thies Auditorium. If interested, we are also able to offer 1 CEU by adding in a few pre-reads. The name of the organization delivering the clinic is called Life of an Athlete. We had the founder of the organization, John Underwood, come to Charlotte Latin to speak to our kids/coaches/parents in late February and we sent three members of the athletic department to Lake Place, NY for a summer workshop. As an athletic administrator, I have found the delivery of his information (especially on the topic of alcohol/social drug use and its negative effects on performance) to be quite engaging and hits home w/ kids in a very facts driven, non-dogmatic way! As a school, this has been a very positive relationship and in our opinion the information on sleep, diet, alcohol/drug use, training effect, periodization, recovery and more is exhilarating/greatly beneficial.
