Covenant Day’s Sarah Billiard is the leading rebounder in the nation for girls high school basketball.
Billiard, a 6-foot-1 senior, is averaging 18.8 rebounds per game. The second leading national rebounder is averaging 15.8
Billiard had 12 points and 21 rebounds in a 59-35 win over Metrolina Christian Tuesday. Billiard has signed with Virginia to play volleyball. For the season, she is averaging 17.4 points, 18.8 rebounds, 6.8 blocks, two steals and 1.2 assists for Covenant Day (3-2).
Billiard and the Lions play at High Point Christian Thursday at 5:30 p.m.
