Crusader Christmas Classic - Day 2
The Crusader Christmas Classic was back in full swing Tuesday.
In the loser's bracket, University Prep suited up against Cape Fear Christian. University Prep dominated from the start to take the win.
In-game two, Pungo took on Thales Apex. Thales went into the half with a commanding lead but, Pungo came out of the locker room fired up, and closed a 25 point gap, but couldn’t get over the top, falling by one point.
In the first Semi-Final, Mt. Zion took on Chatham Thunder and while both teams fought hard one could say that Mt. Zion silenced the Thunder in a rout.
The nightcap featured your Grace Christian Crusaders who took on Faith Christian in the other Semi-Final Round. The Crusaders overcame a slow first half and clamped down defensively after the half to break ahead and dominate the second half behind My'Kai Butler who hit 7 three point shots (6 in the 3rd period alone) to stem any chance of an upset. The final score 74-47.
Tomorrow is the last day of the Crusader Christmas Classic with hard-hitting action all over the court! Come on out, get you some BBQ Sandwiches and Nachos and enjoy the games.
