Atkinson leads Red Devils past Warriors
Behind Tavion Atkinson, the Red Springs boys basketball team claimed a 76-61 win over Fayetteville Christian Academy on Monday.
Atkinson dropped a game-high 18 points in the win. Caleel Mitchell added nine for the Red Devils.
After ending the first quarter in a 12-12 tie, Red Springs used a trio of 20-point quarters to pull away from the Warriors, scoring 22, 21 and 23 to finish.
Elias Sutton scored 11 points to lead Fayetteville Christian.
The Red Devils host Pinecrest tonight.
