South View's Jesse Autry has been the face of the track and field and cross country programs at South View for the last 23 years. Now he's moving on to the next chapter.
Fayetteville Christian has hired Jesse Autry to lead its athletics department, the school announced Tuesday afternoon.
Autry, who joins the Warriors after three decades at South View High School, led the Tigers to incredible success during his time as a cross country and track and field coach.
The Hope Mills native powered the programs to more than 70 combined conference championships, 10 regional titles, and multiple state titles.
South View won the 2003 state meet in cross country and the 2015 crown at the indoor track and field championships.
In addition to Autry’s hiring, FCS has tabbed Aaron Wilson as the school’s next volleyball coach.
Wilson led Freedom Christian to a 10-4 record in the 2020-21 season, including a first-place finish in the NCISAA Sandhills Conference.
