Eagles rout North Raleigh Christian
CONCORD, N.C. - cfa Academy rolled to an impressive 39-14 victory against North Raleigh Christian Academy at Webb Field Friday night.
The win marks the Eagles second consecutive win for the Eagles (2-1, 1-0 NCISAA Freelance Conference).
Junior quarterback Harper Woods threw three touchdown passes. Woods threw a 60-yard bomb to Josh Oreon, hit Julius Felder from the 50-yard line and also connected on a 20-yard TD pass.
Woods, Cabarrus County’s leading passer, also ran for a score from the 2-yard line. Eagles’ speedster Willie Lloyd scored on a 60-yard kickoff return.
Originally scheduled to be played Sept. 4, this game was postponed due to a lightning storm. cfa Academy has two games scheduled for next week. On Tuesday, the Eagles will play host to High Point Christian Academy, and on Saturday they will travel to Hickory Grove Christian.
