Southampton Academy defeats Arendell Parrott 42-22
COURTLAND, Va. | In a matchup of defending NCISAA state champions, Southampton Academy got the better of Arendell Parrott with a 42-22 victory Friday.
The Raiders (5-0) won the NCISAA 1A title last season and moved up to 2A this season. Sam Rose led the way with 186 yards on the ground and two touchdowns, along with throwing for 97 and a score.
Connor Bright threw for 186 yards and three touchdowns for Arendell Parrott (2-2), with A.J. Banker catching six passes for94 yards and a score.
The Patriots’ next game will be on Sept. 30 at home against Rocky Mount Academy.
