Bethel Christian will head into next week’s NCISAA 1A playoffs with a ton of momentum.

Javon Edwards continued his stellar season with 402 yards and seven touchdowns on 20 carries as the Trojans defeated Hobgood Academy 72-26 Friday to close the regular season. Bethel Christian (7-3, 6-0) won its seventh straight game, not allowing any team to get within 30 in the process.

The Trojans ran for 513 yards on 33 carries overall and threw just one pass, forcing four turnovers in the process. Edwards pushed his season total to 2,455 yards on the ground and 37 scores, setting a single-game school record for his performance against the Raiders.
