Charlotte Christian (3-0), No. 10 in the Observer’s Sweet 16, intercepted three passes and forced three fumbles in the win at Monroe High. Cuthbertson (1-2) scored 10 straight points to take a 13-7 lead late in the second quarter. Christian responded with 28 straight points to put the game away. Knights quarterback Garrett Shrader threw for three touchdowns and rushed for another.
