Christ School dominates state-ranked Robbinsville
The Greenies had depended on the running game of Sidney Gibbs in their first two wins of the season.
Against Robbinsville, quarterback West Shuler led the charge.
Shuler finished with three touchdowns and 139 passing yards as Christ School moved to 3-0 with a 34-7 win over Robbinsville, Class 1-A’s No. 9-ranked team.
Gibbs was still a very active member of the offense, rushing for 80 yards on 23 carries and two second-quarter touchdowns to pace his team to a 27-0 halftime lead.
A 7-yard Riley Anderson run in the third quarter gave Robbinsville its only points as Christ School’s defense held the Black Knights to less than 150 total yards.
The loss dropped Robbinsville to 2-1 with a home game against Rabun Gap on Sept. 15.
Aydan White finished as the Greenies' leading receiver, hauling in four catches for 64 yards, including a 28-yard second-quarter touchdown from Shuler.
