Christ School picks up key transfer
With the 2019 football season just four months away, Christ School has added a new offensive weapon to its arsenal.
Charlie Browder, a 6-foot-7 tight end from Dobyns-Bennett High School out of Kingsport, TN, announced on social media Monday night that he was transferring to Christ School and will reclassify and repeat his junior year.
Browder, who will also play basketball for the Greenies, said on his Twitter post that the opportunity to play at Christ School was "too good to pass up."
He currently has an offer from Mercer, according to his Twitter page.
Browder will join a Christ School football roster that includes rising senior quarterback Navy Shuler, who threw for over 4,000 yards last year and rising senior wide receiver and N.C State commit Aydan White.
Christ School finished 10-2 in 2018 and lost in the NCISAA Division I state title game to Charlotte Christian.
