Christ School junior Drew Johnson went over the 1,000-yard mark for the season and the Greenies led wire-to-wire to win a Thursday night football game at North Raleigh Christian, 18-8.

Johnson (1,078 yards) completed five of his 13 passes for 135 yards with a pair of touchdowns to Jared Letman-Gash (3 and 85 yards). The quarterback got the scoring started at the 8:47 mark of the first quarter with an 18-yard keeper.

Letman-Gash finished with three catches for 111 yards. Kokayi Cobb was Christ School's top rusher with 61 yards.

The Greenies improve to 4-2 with the victory. Their next game is Oct. 9 at home against First Assembly Christian.
