DAVIDSON – Drew Johnson passed for 305 yards and three touchdowns, but the Greenies lost their first game Friday to the defending NCISAA Division I champions.
Johnson completed 35 of his 39 attempts. He had no interceptions and all three touchdowns for Christ School (1-1) were caught by Jared Letman-Gash.
Sam Hartman, Davidson Day: Junior completed 29-of-41 passes for 561 yards and seven touchdowns in a 49-21 win over Arden Christ School. His passing yards rank third in Mecklenburg County history and ninth in state history. The touchdowns are the fourth-most any Mecklenburg quarterback has thrown in a game. Receiver Nolan Groulx had 14 catches for 193 yards and three scores.
