The Patriots dropped a road non-conference game in Virginia after falling behind early.
Faith Christian (1-1) trailed 20-8 in the first quarter, and played catch-up the rest of the way. By halftime, FCS trailed 36-14. The Patriots did make a push in the third quarter and scored with 4:33 left in the frame to cut the deficit to 37-22, but that was they could muster.
FCS is back in action next week in Raleigh for a 2018 state championship rematch against St. David’s.
