• By Jim Green Sports Editor
After having its first two games decided by a combined 14 points, Faith Christian School had a little easier time of it on the gridiron this week.
Sophomore Gavin Clark recovered a fumble and intercepted two passes and returned one for a touchdown, while six other players produced scores as the Patriots shut out Father Vincent Capodano (Vass, N.C.) 60-0 at home in an 8-Man game Friday night.
Others scoring touchdowns for FCS (3-0) were Caden Hamlett (30-yard run), Michael Grant (20-yard and 22-yard pass receptions), Nick Parker (8-yard pass reception and 10-yard run), Thomas Sugg (17-yard run), Carter Boswell (43-yard run) and Jeffrey White (35-yard run).
Sugg booted four extra points, and the Patriots defense also recorded a safety. Parker added an interception.
Father Capodano, known as the Grunts, dropped to 1-2 overall.
