Playing APA for the second straight week, the Patriots won again, this time by a 72-30 score, to clinch a spot in the state title game in just their second season as a program. The game was also the first home playoff contest for the team.
The Patriots (8-1) entered halftime up by 40 points, thanks in part to four touchdowns by Shaikey Hardy.
For FCS, the focus now turns to Raleigh St. David’s, which beat Rocky Mount Academy on Thursday night on the other side of the bracket.
