HIGH POINT – Copeland Petitfils recorded 15 tackles as High Point Christian Academy closed the regular season with a 41-2 romp past North Raleigh Christian Academy on Friday night.
De’Shaun Taylor completed 11 of 17 passes for 167 yards and two touchdowns as the Cougars improved to 8-1. NRCA fell to 3-7.
Nathan Woelfel rushed six times for 65 yards and scored from 43 and 10 yards out. Austin Hendley ran nine times for 85 yards and a 6-yard TD. He also kicked 5 of 6 PATs and registered 10 tackles. Lance Boykin caught a 10-yard TD pass and rushed for a 1-yard score, while Dre Davis caught a 56-yard touchdown pass. Timmy Fischvogt finished with nine tackles.
HPCA will host a first-round NCISAA 3A playoff game on Friday night. Opponent and time are to be determined.
