Charlotte Latin downs HPCA, 28-14
HIGH POINT — Charlotte Latin stayed undefeated with a 28-14 victor y over High Point Christian Academy at High Point Athletic Complex on Friday night.Latin (6-0) built a 28-0 lead in the fourth quarter before the Cougars (5-2) struck for two late touch-downs.
HPCA’s Gavin Kuld passed for 149 yards and two touch-downs, finding Pedro Moreno for an 11-yard scoring strike and John Saunders Jr. for a 21-yard score.Moreno finished with four catches for 47 yards and added 28 rushing yards. Wis-tar Allen rushed for 57 yards for the Cougars and recorded 13 tackles on defense. Chase Cox made 11 tackles and Jackson Powell had seven tackles.HPCA hosts Covenant Day on Friday at 7 p.m. at the High Point Athletic Complex.
