RALEIGH – Tyeren Melton scored four second-half touchdowns as High Point Christian Academy closed itsregular season with a 27-6 victory over North Raleigh Christian Academy on Friday night.
M e l t o n r u s h e d for touchdowns of 20, 86 and 30 yards and caught a 24-yard scoring pass from De’Shaun Taylor. Melton finished with six carries for 176 yards and three TDs and added three receptions for 94 yards and a score. Taylor completed 8 of 14 passes for 139 yards and a TD and rushed for 94 yards.
Defensively, Copeland Petitfils recorded 19 tackles for HPCA, while Wistar Allen and
Jaydan VanEaton had nine tackles each.
T h e C o u g a r s improved to 7-1. NRCA fell to 2-8.
