Arendell Parrott advances to NCISAA playoffs

Arendell Parrott advanced to the 2A NCISAA state playoffs as they rolled past Grace Christian School 55-12.
Parrott's offense was clicking on all cylinders tonight as they amassed 489 total yards. Fullback Cole Daniels carried the ball 11 times for 203 yards and three touchdowns, while wide receiver A.J. Banker chipped in five receptions for 159 yards and three scores. Quarterback Zach Vendemia had 171 yards of passing with three total touchdowns (2 passing, 1 rushing).
On defense, the Patriots kept Grace Christian in check most of the evening. Daniels and linebacker Ro Grady each had 18 tackles with Banker collecting three interceptions.
Parrott (5-4) jumped out in front 20-6 after the first quarter of play and cruised into halftime with a 34-12 advantage. The Patriots would tack on three more scores in the third to put the game well out of reach.
Parrott will visit Southampton Academy next Friday night in the semifinal round of the playoffs. The Raiders defeated the Patriots on Sept. 16th 42-22.
