Cannon stuns North Raleigh Christian
CONCORD, N.C. - Jordan Johnson had a big night, as fourth-seeded Cannon School shut out fifth-seeded North Raleigh Christian, 34-0, in first-round action of the NCISAA Division II playoffs Friday night at Randy Marion Field.
Johnson scored three touchdowns and rushed for 124 yards.
The Cougars (6-5) advanced and will play top-seeded Ravencroft School (7-3) in the semifinals in Raleigh next Friday.
Cannon sophomore quarterback Mason McLaughlin went 7-for-10 passing for 72 yards, including a 5-yard touchdown pass to senior wide receiver Cameron Sutton.
