ASHEVILLE SAINTS (1-2) at ASHEVILLE SCHOOL (0-0), 4:30 p.m.
Last week: Asheville Saints lost to Carolina Crusaders (S.C.), 32-0; Asheville School did not play.
Last year: Asheville School beat the Asheville Saints, 16-0.
Notes: Ever wonder why the Asheville School coach and quarterback are inherently on the same page? Because they sleep underneath the same roof. Blues senior David Schill (1,401 passing yards, 380 rushing yards and 27 combined touchdowns in 2014) is the son of third-year coach Gus Schill. David Schill also garnered 2014 Citizen-Times All-WNC recognition at defensive back after averaging 7.4 tackles per game for a 5-4 team. Other players to keep an eye on are junior Rashad Morrison (29 receptions for 415 yards and six touchdowns) and senior linebacker/linebacker Eric Rhoton. The Asheville Saints are one of two independent programs in the area along with the Carolina Gladiators. The Saints were shut out last week, but got a combined four touchdowns in their first two games from Collin Chandler. Chandler was one of four different players to score touchdowns in the Saints' lone win (38-6 over the visiting Tennessee Silverbacks on Aug. 24). The others were Jackson Roeder, Bryce Lotz and Conner King.
