Notes: Exit strategy? Getting out of North Carolina on Friday might not be the worst plan with Hurricane Joaquin bearing down on the Tar Heel state. Asheville School received a pair of touchdown runs from David Schill (642 passing yards, 204 rushing yards and 10 combined touchdowns) and Chris Amoroso (111 yards, two touchdowns) last Friday. Rashad Morrison (248 yards, three touchdowns) and Ahmad Galimore (17 receptions for 323 yards and three touchdowns) have been key players for the offense. Amoroso is also averaging 9.0 tackles per game, followed by J.P. Schill (8.5), David Schill (7.8), Titus Morrison (7.3) and Fisher Howard (6.3). Rabun Gap is coached by Dale Earnhardt who went 33-37 at Asheville School before resigning in 2007. His son is junior Dallas Earnhardt (1,243 yards and 16 touchdowns with five interceptions). One of the Eagles' two losses came at Robbinsville (36-22 on Sept. 10). Rabun Gap is fourth in the latest NCISAA Division III rankings.
