The essentials: Charlotte Christian is the toughest NCISAA team the Cougars
have faced in their brief football history. The Knights not only feature a junior
QB who already has an Alabama offer (Garrett Shrader), they have a coaching
staff loaded with NFL playing experience (Troy Brown, Joe Jacoby, John Kasay,
Pete Metzelaars and Eugene Robinson). This isn’t the best week for High Point
Christian to be without injured LBs Wistar Allen and Copeland Petitfils, especially
when Petitfils also is the Cougars’ punter and kicker.
