RABUN GAP, Ga. (1-4) at ASHEVILLE SCHOOL (3-1), 4:30 p.m.
Last week: Rabun Gap lost to Christ School, 40-21; Asheville School lost to Statesville Christian, 61-21.
Last year: Rabun Gap beat Asheville School, 47-14.
Notes: Even the most bitter rivals can trade from time to time. Asheville School and Ahmad Galimore (550 passing yards, 125 rushing yards and 11 combined touchdowns) are back at Arbogast Field to meet the same Rabun Gap team that Christ School played last week. Likewise, the Greenies are home versus Statesville Christian, which the Blues saw last Friday. Galimore, who is a junior, threw for a season-high 228 yards a week ago. He ranks second in rushing to Fisher Howard (229 yards, two touchdowns) and Gilmore’s most-targeted receivers have been Rashad Morrison (15 receptions for 240 yards and six touchdowns) and Titus Morrison (nine receptions for 139 yards and one touchdown). Chris Amoroso, J.P. Schill and Paul Hill share the team lead in tackles (7.3 per game). Rabun Gap is led by former Asheville School coach Dale Earnhardt who resigned in 2007 after compiling a 33-37 record.
