RABUN GAP, Ga. (2-0) at ROBBINSVILLE (1-2)
Last week: Rabun Gap beat Cannon School, 35-24; Robbinsville lost to Dade County (Ga.), 20-6.
Last year: Robbinsville beat Rabun Gap (Ga.), 45-39.
Notes: Former Asheville School coach Dale Earnhardt got the Rabun Gap program off the ground in 2011. Earnhardt and the Eagles aren't looking to come down anytime soon in only their fifth-ever year of varsity competition. Rabun Gap is the top-ranked program in NCISAA Division III football and hammered the Asheville-based Carolina Gladiators, 55-6, back on Aug. 29. Earnhardt's oldest child, Dallas, has thrown for 621 yards and nine touchdowns with two interceptions. And that is go along with his team-high 92 rushing yards and a touchdown. Carter King (13 receptions for 294 yards and four touchdowns) and Niko Harrell (13 receptions for 181 yards and three touchdowns) are Dallas Earnhardt's primary receivers. Robbinsville is coming off its first back-to-back losses since 2012. The Black Knights avoided a shutout last Friday when Colton Millsaps (132 yards and one touchdown with two interceptions) threw a 12-yard touchdown pass to Reece Postell in the fourth quarter. Robbinsville holds a 4-0 all-time advantage in this series, but last year's game was the closest yet.
