RABUN GAP 49

ANDERSON CAVALIERS 21

The Eagles exploded for 42 points during the first half on Friday night in route to a 49-21 victory over the Anderson Cavaliers. The Cavaliers defense had given up an average of just under 7 points per game this season.

Rabun Gap exceeded that on the second play from scrimmage when Dallas Earnhardt hit Kenny Hines for an 80 yard touchdown to make it 7-0. All six first half touchdowns were passes from Earnhardt. Niko Harrell caught a 51 yard TD, a 16 yard TD, and a 48 yard TD during the first half. Carter King scored on a 37 yard TD reception with just under a minute left in the first half. Hines added a 14 yard TD catch after the Cavaliers fumbled the kickoff with just over 30 seconds remaining in the first half.

Earnhardt finished 17 of 21 for 357 yards and 6 touchdowns. Harrell had 8 catches for 152 yards and 3 TDs. Hines had 5 catches for 124 yards and 2 TDs. King finished with 4 catches for 82 yards and 1 TD.

The defense played well as they held Anderson to 175 yards rushing on 32 attempts. Gavyn Jones led the Eagles with 14 tackles. Logan McRary finished with 9 tackles, while Dante McDonald added 7 tackles.
