CHARLOTTE – Statesville Christian won the program's first game with a 43-6 win over Northside Christian on Friday.
Brennan Settle and Adam Prevette scored touchdowns for the Lions (1-6). Tavi Linney had a 75-yard run late in the game and scored.
BJ Lomax had an interception.
Statesville Christian led 15-6 at halftime and outscored the Knights (1-5) 28-0 in the second half.
The 43 points scored and 6 points allowed were both season bests for the Lions.
