With emotions running high, head coach Brick Crowder said in a text exchange they made the decision to take their players off the field due to the high tensions. Wayne Christian was awarded the victory.
“Emotions got the best of some kids on both teams and we worked hard to diffuse the situation as quickly as we could,” Crowder said in a message.
Bethel Christian moved to 3-1 on the season while Wayne Christian is 3-1-1. The Trojans will regroup and host Halifax Academy next week. The Vikings are 4-1 on the season.
