FIELD HOCKEY (PRIVATE SCHOOLS) Caroline Lostetter scored late in the second half, lifting visiting Charlotte Country Day to a 1-0 victory over defending state champion Providence Day. The Chargers (18-4) had defeated Charlotte Country Day (16-4) for the title last fall. Providence Day kept the pressure on the Buccaneers throughout the match, but Bucs’ goalkeeper Zella Thomas made 15 saves and defending Caroline Switzer also had a save. Elizabeth Tegeler had three saves for Providence Day.
